TBS146 Talking suicide prevention with Jorgen from Mates In Construction
Or Subscribe On Your Favourite Device

Sadly, more Australian men die from suicide each year than from cancer.

Perhaps even more tragically, construction workers are six times more likely to die from suicide than an accident at work. For our young workers, the facts are that they are well over two times more likely to take their own lives than other young Australian men.

In this episode we take a look at the very important work Mates In Construction are doing within the building and construction industry. Not only are they getting real results in the area of suicide prevention but they’re changing the way men in particular perceive and discuss their challenges. Listen in as we chat to Jorgen Gullestrup, the CEO, about Mates In Construction and his own personal experience with suicide.
